You have a '99 SLK230, so there's already a roots-type supercharger in your car. It's made by Eaton.

Is there a bigger and/or better one to get than what is in there now?

Wouldn't a pulley change be a more economical/easier way to get more power?

What exactly are you looking for, Bizmarkee7?

The common chip+pulley kits for the SLK230 will get you about 225hp for around $1500. You might get close to 250hp with a complete exhaust (including headers), custom intake, larger intercooler, and other tweaks. I'm serious. I'd be really suprised if you can get over 250hp from an SLK230 for under $5K. After that, you have to start doing things like camshaft/spring/valves, porting/polishing heads, increasing displacement, etc. You're not going to get there with just SC/turbo boost, at least not reliably.

If you're looking to go beyond 250hp, then you might want to consider upgrading to an SLK32 AMG. It might actually be cheaper in the long run, especially when you consider that the SLK32 also has brake, suspension, interior, and exterior upgrades, and MUCH better resale value than a modified SLK230.

Roots

There are bigger Roots e.g., for the Jaguar+Aston Martin I-6s, and the current Jaguar V8 (Eaton M112). However, I wouldn't know how to adapt those for use in the SLK. Increasing boost with the present Eaton M62 makes more sense, stock boost is only 0.4 bar, a pulley kit will give you 0.6-0.8 bar depending on pulley size.
