My advice would be to get the Väth kit if you can (Väth is spelled Vaeth in English and pronounced "fat"). They're a really popular tuner among SLK230 owners in Germany. I briefly drove an SLK230 with the Vaeth kit in Germany and it's pretty sweet. I also got to ride in it at 150mph on the autobahn. This car belonged to Tim Fuchs, who occasionally posts over at the MBnz.org SLK forum as "Tim(CH)". He also traded the SLK230 for an SLK32 AMG last year.
There a couple of Americans on the MBnz.org SLK forum that have Vaeth parts. You'll have to ask them the specifics of how they got the kit in the USA.

Bizmarkee7, I suggest you take Brian's advice and move up to a SLK32.
Do not waste your money and time doing any serious mods on your car. You will not be able to recover your cost and may even affect the trade-in value of your MB later on.
If you can, going to a SLK32 AMG is the most cost-effective means of getting more performance. Good luck.

Well, then, there's always that litlte detail. Go to school, make good grades, graduate, make lots of money, buy an SLK32. It is the American way!
I think what you will find, however, it is difficult to make many significant mods to an MB without spending wads of money.
Some of the better ones may be as simple as getting a larger air intake hose for you filter. Many have done that on the MBNZ.ORG site and claim relatively significant improvement for under like 75 bucks. Go there and do a search in their slk forum for these kinds of things... that is if it ever comes up today.

I'm working an a low priced pulley kit for the C230 that should also work with the SLK230. It will cost under $300 and will be made by an established large performance pulley company. What I need to help me out is what's the largest diameter I can get on there without hitting the water pump pulley. I see that the '99 has a deeper pulley for the water pump than the newer ones. I heard that the Vaeth kit is 22cm and the H&S is 25cm. Is that at the belt or the outside diameter of the pulley? The factory pulley is about 19cm and made in the UK and weighs about 8 1/2 lbs. Also does anyone have the belt part number and brand that coincides with one of these pulley kits.
Any pictures of any of the crankshaft performance pulleys would be appreciated.
