1998 SLK230 Performance Options
I am having an absolutely painful time trying to find pully setups, tuning chips, exhausts, exhaust manifolds, or even turbos that would be good for my car. I don't want to push it to anything insane, don't wanna blow the engine or the transmission/driveshaft, just wanna take it from 180hp to a comfortable 250-350hp. If anyone is willing to help or recommend and sources, it is very appreciated because I want to start recording progress but I can't make progress if I don't know where to start. Thanks!
I know I would have to remove the supercharger to install the turbo, I'm not sure what the stock engine without supercharger makes, but I still really want to make this a fun project

Welcome GLKCars,
The SLK230 has virtually identical engine m111 as the w202s so be sure to checkout the w202 forum for more info.
The M111 motor is a tough bugger.
As for upgrades, you can upgrade with a straight bolt-on pulley kit (and optional re-map, not necessary though with the pulley upgrade). It's sold by Speer Chiptuning
Do search on this forum and here too and the net, youtube for 'pulley upgrades' to research and decide for yourself. imo, it's the best bang for your buck.
I have this same kit, just have not installed it yet (lazy...)
There is alot of info and you just need to decide what it is that you want to add and $pend.
One other item:
Please add your user cp info so all post readers will know what you drive so that they may be able to contribute to your queries.
