Transmission will not move to P, or D, problems
Hi,
My parents bought a '98 SLK230 with 6,xxx miles a few months ago. Now it has ~9-10k miles.
Problem is that my Mom has been calling me that she cannot get the car in "P" or out of "D" lots of times. I checked it out last week and it moved but with little force and with a good jolt.
Right now the car is stuck in gear with the keys in it in the garage
. Any idea what this could be? Ever heard of this?
The car has low miles so this is really strange. I searched the archives and came up with nothing of this nature.
If anybody has any ideas would really appreciate it. Thanks.
