Crazy Electrical Issue
Hi All! I am new here and needing help figuring out what is happening with my Slk230 1999 Compressor. When I step on the brake pedal with lights OFF the interior dash lights all come on until I take foot off the pedal! When lights are on everything seems to be normal! Called local Mercedes Service Center but no help! Just bring it in they said! So I am trying to figure this one out but nothing yet! Thanks Larry

start with a scan of codes
but it sounds to me that you've got a short between what ever shares the same wiring as the brake light's and interior lights
im not a professional when it comes to isolating electrical gremlins on these vehicles but i'd be starting with removing brake light globes one by one and testing the brakes to see if the interior lights will stop triggering
hopefully it's one of the globes and you can focus more on that
