SLK/R170: SLK 230-35K miles - Extended Warranty?

SLK 230-35K miles - Extended Warranty?
My car is running out of its factory warranty. I called the MB South Orlando for a quote, and he quoted me $3650 for a 5 year 100K miles extended warranty.
I'm planning to keep this car for at least 5 more years. I just think that the amount they're asking for is too high.
Any suggestions? Should I go ahead and do this or not?
I heard about Ownerguard aftwermarket warranty, but I couldn't find info on the internet and I'm concerned about insurance companies going under.
Please advise!

I contacted Lissa at the MB dealer in Chico CA, who was extremelly helpful and help me to figure things out. I read about her on previous post. I'll get the 3 years extend warranty
