What is missing from this cockeyed repair ?

Hi to you all out there. I have decided to do a proper repair on the 2004 Facelift R170 SLK 230 that I bought as a Cat N - light front bumper damage and (repaired of sorts). The car has only covered a mere 65,790 miles and I believe it is worth getting things right/correct as it should have been done in the first place.
With the bonnet closed the car is indistinguishable from an unmolested one.

Is there a forum member that can take an image of their own R170 showing the top edge of the grill where the front of the slam panel and the grill come closely together.

I have a 01 with little less tan 70K on it, the only thing different I can see is the color of your paint, my car is black.

You are beating yourself up on something you shouldn't be.

Hi beeguz. That is rather strange because I can see everything that I took with my Fuji FinePix on the Macro setting which shows the top of the grill plus the head of a hexagon bolt holding a bracket of some description in place and a severely bodged weld on the front edge of the slam panel.
