There's a 2000 s500 command system on ebay for ~$600 that that the nav and radio controls. I have the standard stereo in my SLK230 with a 6CD changer...can I use that command in my car and retrofit it somehow? Any ideas??? I'd love to have a MB type nav in my car. Thanks...

Well that is not a simple "NO". Anything is possible for the right price and the right effort. I believe there are companies that will sell a modified double din tray made into a single din COMMAND tray for your dashboard, thereby enabling you to put in command. The only example I have ever seen comes from Schatz tuners and unfortunately I never snapped a pic of it, but I did see it. I believe they used a modified W202 dashboard trim piece and made it double din to fit SLK R170 chasis..
The shorter answer is NO, but to be accurate it has been done by some, but it is cost prohibative for the most part. And plus COMMAND is not that great in terms of the sound quality or features. Much better off with an aftermarket heads up display system like Pioneer AVX P7300 or Alpine units.
