SLK/R170: sharing some technical infos
The touchshift automatic transmission is adaptive to the way of driving the car and it changes the program (the style of shifting) after 40 gear change. The changes involves the type of shifting (more or less faster and consequently more or less hard) and obviously the number of revs at which the shift occurs.
The lever hits on two switches to do touchshift change gear and so it can be simple to replicate that switches on steering wheel. The problem is that the signal of the switches must met the specification of bus-can on which travel every command of the car.
I'm going to study more deeply the problem, if anyone have some infos please tell it to me.
