Vario roof control unit removal
Hi
I have a 2001 SLK200 K with an inactive vario roof. I have no control of the roof and I can smell burnt out electronics from the control unit. Basic question I know, but how should I remove this unit. The connectors don't want to come out that easily.
I have removed the first large connector (furthest forward to front grille) but cant work out how to remove the others. A special tool maybe?
Thankyou for your time
Mark

SLK200 Kompressor
Solved
Hi All
Answering my own question...
Looked very closely again and noticed a metal arm at the front. Pulled it up and the unit disconnects.
Cant believe I missed that.. Was nervous of damaging it I guess.
I have uploaded the photo just in case it helps out someone else.
Cheers

Could you share how you got the first grey connector out i see a black tab bit not obvious on how to remove it it is also nested under the black connector next to it.
I can lift the metal arm bit only goes 1/2 of the travel.
