Info: New Headunit voids factory warranty ?

I am looking at upgrading my current headunit in my mercedes benz slk320 (2002 model) into an alpine d300 (touchscreen) as well as mount the navigation dvd unit in my trunk. (Will also be mounting a dvd / cd changer haven't decided) I will be uninstalling the current factory cd changer and auctioning it on ebay; however before I go through these steps is there anyone in here who can say with certainty whether this voids the warranty or not ? I will not mess with the speakers just the headunit(some wiring will have to be done to connect the new cd changer). I will also be installing hte passport escort SRX (Dual laser jammers, radar detector) This install mandates installation under the bumpers and wiring into the car will this void the factory? I definately want to keep factory warranty on my speakers, the engine, the electronics, ect. I only plan to lose the warranty on the headunit and the cd changer.

to be honest with you , if any electrical issues comes up for the audio system
after the aftermarket system installed and they can proof it's the cause , your warrenty will be void.the dealership (if they are nice) will properly ask you to return the car to oem spec 1st before looking into it.i know this as a fact cause i have worked @ the mercedes service dept for some time and now i am with BMW service.

2006 Porsche Cayman S
Warentee

Almost two years ago I put a top of the line Alpine multimedia system in my 320, and the dealer didn't flinch. Of course they won't work on it, but it didn't hurt the warentee any.
