chip tuning
I am interested in chip tuning my 1999 slk230 Kompressor. I would really appreciate any and all opinions/advice on whos products are the best and who to stay away from. Also, what do you think about sending in the ECU instead of visiting a local dealer. Thank you.

I had my chip's ROM re-coded by Upsolute. It really makes the car perform better. The cost was $425 with a $75.00 rebate. Upsolute dealers operate from their own homes to keep costs down. They de-solder your chip place it into their re-coder and re-solder it into your board. It takes about 1 to 1.5 hrs for the entire process. It takes the chip about a week to re-learn your driving habits. The car runs smoother and it is much quicker.

Upsolute Chip, Emissions
Has anyone with an Upsolute chip had to pass an emissions inspection? Does the Upsolute chip account for a blower pulley like the kleemann (SP?)? Also Kleemann offers a k-box and pulley combination, has anyone tried this setup?
