SLK200 w/o kompressor

I have '99 SLK200 without kompressor and 100 kw it's a little bit boring.. I would like to install kompressor, but not sure that SLK200 and SLK200K engines ar the same (identical)? If they are, could I simply buy standart MB compressor and install it? I found some on eBay..

I'm very sorry for my english Thanks in advance!

They are not the same engine. There were 2 different SLK200 Kompressor models. The pre-facelift version (built before March 2000) had approximately the same power output as the SLK230 Kompressor but they had a higher compression ratio and required higher octane fuel. The engine was strengthened compared to the SLK200 to handle the supercharger. This version was sold only in Italy, Spain, Greece, and a few other countries with very low sales volumes.

The post-facelift version (built after March 2000) has alot of small changes changes compared to pre-facelift SLK engines.

If you added a supercharger to your engine, you would need more than just the supercharger. You would also want the intercooler. Maybe some other stuff too.

Thanks! Could you explain what differences are between SLK200 and SLK200K engines except that SLK200 are without kompressor? If I would install kompressor to a simple SLK200 what about engine lifetime then?
