Has anyone had these installed? Did you do it yourself? BRABUS has them for $2600 which is a bit steep. I found a company near Chicago that has them for 500 or 600 which seams reasonable. My dealer never heard of them and had know idea about the installation. Any done these? They sure look sweet.

Yes, I had them installed last week and they are great. I believe it was $1250 for the parts (Brabus) and $600 labor, but this was special promotional pricing because I was first to get these at a very large dealership here. It was a BEAR to install them, apparently. They had so much trouble that they had to halve the time spent to make it reasonable.

They came down a lot on price because they originally rec'd generic ones from a supplier that simply would not fit properly-there was a small gap or something. The Brabus were a bit more but looked identical, except for the 'B' on the base plate. And they FIT correctly.

My dealer has been great, and I have many other upgrades (some forthcoming). When I figure out how to post pics I will. You won't believe some of the other stuff=AWEsome!
