SLK/R171 manual or auto: need comparos

BMW Z3 S/C & 99 Mroadster

manual or auto: need comparos

Looking into the SLK and I have driven an auto. I was wondering the impressions of those that have driven both and thoughts. Also what car did you previoulsy own? I am coming from a BMW M roadster ( 5speed only) and am stuck: I like an auto SOMETIMES, but miss rowing the gears when I am driving my auto truck ( i need to haul the bass boat)
