Dvd Whilst Driving ** Is This The Answer ???? **
Hi all!
I know that there have been many, many posts and many frustrated owners in relation activating the DVD player whilst the car is in motion. (To entertain the passenger of course, not the driver)
The only way that I believe this can be done is via the Mercedez Benz Star Diagnostics system. However, most MB service personel will not be interested in, or allowed by their management, to perform this change because of the legal implications should the results prove to be the contributing factor in an accident!
There is a product, however, that is supplied by a German company called Diagsoft OBD II. Please check out their web site at "diagsoft.de".
The unit simply plugs directy into your cars diagnostic port and with the press of a button the appropriate software modifications are made.
The cost is around EUR,1500!
NOTE: The OBD II will only work for SLK - CLS and E-Class ( ECE Comand no US Comands ).
HAS ANY ONE TRIED THIS UNIT?
IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN A JOINT VENTURE TO SEE IF IT WORKS??
The company has assured me that it works 100% and is easy for anyone to operate.
