SLK/R171: Clunk
Clunk
While cruising through the Alps in my Firemist 350 (via ED) with automatic transmission I noticed that it tended to have a rather hard downshift (aka "Clunk") when going downhill with little or no throttle.
It was worse in "S" mode but happened in "C" mode as well. Normal upshift were quite smooth and so I was wondering if this was normal behavior?

You may have the answer as this was written a while ago.
Might be a temperature thing.
My SLK has had that problem but only when I first start out, and not always. Once it is warmed up I have not noticed any "clunks".
