Rear Ended
This afternoon while I was sitting at a red light a Lincoln Zephyr rear ended me. The tap was pretty light, but I felt the jolt nonetheless. I was expecting the worst when I got out, but to my surprise nothing! He apologized and that was that, but I was pretty surprised at the strength of the MB bumpers.

I am not sure if SLK bumper use the same material as my previous C-class. On my C230, the rear bumper was made by PUR material, which is very, very flexible. Imagine that, I can fit a AMG rear bumper at my rear seat....That's how flexible it is.
So, if you can crack that bumper cover, most likely all your reinforcement bar and your trunk will get messed up badly. Even your bumper looks ok from outside, I would still suggest to let your body shop to check if there is any damage inside the bumper.
