Where to buy KW V3 Coilovers?

I've thought long and hard about this, and coming from my experience, I'd rather do it right from the start (adjustable coilovers) than only do the job halfway (just springs). Eventually the shocks will blow and it'll cost me the labor and parts to upgrade to coilovers anyways. So I have 2 questions I guess. Does anyone else make coilovers for the R171? And, if not, where is the cheapest place to buy the KW V3 coilovers that fit our car? Group buy? I saw them on eBay once for like $1400.

Ginger said H&R now makes a coilover suspension for the r171, I'm not sure if it's adjustable. Carlsson also makes a full suspension kit but it's money. $1400 for KW coils is a very good price, I assume H&R coils are probably the cheapest of the bunch. If you have the right tools, it's actually a pretty straight forward (easy) install. Good luck, let us know what you'll get.

I don't know if i'm able to post the exact web address on this forum, but you can go to the official H&R website they have the exact details of the coilovers there...it said that it's a 1.2-2.0 front drop and 1.0-2.2 rear and retails for 1380...i could get it here in vancity for 1600 CAD installed...so i think you can probably find some sponsor who can give you a price quote less than 1380. I was also checking the bilstein website and they have a pss9 coilover suspension for the slk350...dunno the pricing for that tho...you can check the bilstein website for the exact part number

Good hunting Ginger! Looks like H&R finally did put the specs out. I'm wondering why it's so cheap though. It looks like they aren't height adjustable, and probably not dampening adjustable. That 1.2-2.0 and 1.0-2.2 rear is most likely because of the sport vs. OEM suspension (although I could be wrong because I remember OEM/sport having the same height on one axle). Your guess is as good as mine about adjustments for dampening...anyone else had H&R coils on their car? How bout the Bilsteins? And how would I go about getting sponsored?

Call them up and ask, getting sponsored in SoCal shouldn't be too hard, they will used your SLK's for shows and other events to show off their product and will give you a great price.
