slk ARMREST PROBLEMS
I recently traded in my 03 E 500 for a new 06 slk 350 and I have to say driving is sure fun again. Not that the E wasn't fun but nothing like the SLK. I love this car except the (BLANK) armrest/glove box. It was broke the day I drove the car home, it is still broke after bringing it back twice to MBz Laguna Niguel. Anyone else had this problem. It is one of those little things that is driving me crazy, I can't get it open to get things out, or the door keeps opening, or I go to open it and the whole top lid lifts out into my hands. By the way MBZ Laguna has normally been top notch except with this problem.

I was able to fix it once but after bringing it into the dealer I now have a piece of the hinge broken off which was left sitting inside. I can't fix it now. I am going to have to bring it in for the 3rd time. Sorry to whine but I want the little things to work as well as the big things.

no problems here
So far no problems with the armrest/storage(cross-fingers). I use it all the time and haven't had any issues with it opening.

Thanks for the info. I am printing it out right now for my service advisor so I can show him how to fix it. Like I said earlier I have had it in twice now with no luck, this will help. thanks again

OLD: 2004 C230 Sport Sedan, NEW: 2007 SLK350
oh no... anyone know if this problem occurs with the 2007 SLK350????
I started to hate the cup-holder in the 2004 C230, since it was so flimsy... what's with the cheap parts?
