SLK350 Engine Vibration
Hi All,
I have a 2005 SLK350. Everytime I start the engine I can feel some abnormal vibration from the engine. But the vibration will go after I hit the gas. And it won't come back until next time I start the engine. The engine seems normal and smooth and no vibration at the stop lights. The vibration is like starting the engine in the very cold weather day. But the weather here is not cold. Is it normal? Thanks for the reply.

Does it happen even if you have driven a while, then turn it off go in to the store come back and turn it back on? My thinking that if it happens over night, it might be normal just because the engine is cold, but if it happens even after the engine is warm then there could be a prob.

I've been here for awhile and that's the first I've heard of it, mine doesn't vibrate, I don't recall reading on any that does, if it's gone then I would eave it alone, if it happens again, I recommend taking it in for service. Better safe then sorry.

I don't feel a vibration, but I do hear a modulation in the engine sound right after start-up until the engine has subsided to idling at 700 rpm.
