SLK/R171: My Front AND Back Emblems were Stolen!

My Front AND Back Emblems were Stolen!
My front AND back star emblems were being stolen last nite! fortunately, I haven't noticed any dent or scratches YET, otherwise I would be really pissed.
The rear emblem on the hood was not completely pull off, the center star is still intact (sort of). Do I need the help of the dealership to have those emblems removed and installed? Or it is a relatively easy process. I figure I should learn how to do it myself, as I have a feeling that it WILL come back to me again and again...
Anyone know how much are the emblems cost? The big star in the front and the smaller one at the rear....

I would machine the stars out of metal, and then hook them up to 50,000volts.
When the criminal comes over to pry them off, they'll be as dead as a door knob.
That oughta learn 'em. (and no, I don't really care if the person would die... they shouldn't be touching another mans car in the first place anyway).

I would get the dealer involved. Especially the front seems like it might warrant professional intervention. Check your insurance, you may be covered for something like this. If it happened at your house, your homeowners insurance may even cover it.

The front star is easy to be taken off... just pull and twist" but i wonder why would anyone want steal your rear emblems? Anyways sad to hear about it. Replaced some new ones at the dealer"
