Best MB SLK deal in Chicago area?
Once I finalize the sale on a vintage Corvette (this week hopefully, just needs to be picked up) I plan to let it be the wife's turn and buy her a new SLK 280. I've read a few old posts on pricing and have one or two internet quotes from Chicago area MB dealers. Although I thought I would do better on an '06 it's slim picking as I guess the MB incentives took care of most of them. I'm getting quotes of about $2,100 off of list on an '07 and about $2,500 off an '06 (should be closer to $4,100 I expect or better on an '06) but thought I could do better ... any real world experience out there in the Midwest? Any MB Chicago area dealers NOT recommended (already know of some who won't quote via email)? I didn't see any MB incentives but have to believe than some may be anxious to reduce the SLKs on their lots before we get our first snow (and thanks to advice I've seen here, I do plan to get a set of snows). Time is on my side as this would definitely be a replacement for a 3rd car between two drivers so money will be just earling more interest once the 'vette gets picked up ... while I like the 350 or 55, this car will be a cruiser so the 280 fits the bill nicely.

How long have you dealt with Knauz?
They would be a bit of a drive for me but if their service is good I may give them a try ... we have quite a few MB dealers in metro Chicago, do you know of any rating services?
