I just purchased a one-owner, used, but pristine, 2005 Launch Edition SLK 350 from a non-M-B used car dealer I trust. It only has 1400 miles on it and is clean as new. The only thing missing is the first aid kit, which has taken a walk somewhere along the line. I've found several posted on Ebay, but not sure of fit without knowing the part number for the one supplied with the SLK 350. I'd be most appreciative if someone with the kit could provide the part number and/or physical dimensions of the one in their SLK 350.

Thanks for the very quick reply. This forum seems to be quite active with very knowledgeable people of like interests. I've learned a lot already just reading.

Are you happy with the paint protective film installation? My Launch Edition is totally clean at this point, and I've been thinking of doing this before the warm weather sets in. Here in the Northeast it's been quite warm so far this winter, and with the heated seats/Airscarf setup and a really quiet top-down airflow at speed It's been hard resisting taking some great rides in this new toy on our debris-covered country roads.

that there are at least 2 competing providers. 3m and ventureshield. i went with the ventureshield. you can see pictures of my install by going to www.benzworld.org then forums then r171 and doing a search for 'ventureshield' or my name there 'jbanks15'. i have had mine almost 2 years in august and should have had it from day 1. here is link from the guy i chose. do not know if he is still in business but they might have franchises in the northeast. good luck whatever you choose.
