how many miles did you get on your tires?
Hello,
I have a 05 SLK350 with the Pirelli Zerro rosso tires and have 13000 miles. I have to replace one of the tires (nail in it, can't be repaired) and I am wondering if I should not go ahead and replace all 4 tires. How many miles do you ususally get out of these tires? What would you do in my situation?
Thx,
Yves

MY 05 350 has 21,000 on the original tyres and they are fine, maybe another 5-6000 miles left in them. They seem to last quite a long time, even with 'spirited' driving (My SLK 32 ate the rears in about 7000 miles). Maybe change both tyres on the axle....

What Tires do you like?
Look like I am only going to get about 15K miles on my OEM tires (stock 17").
Since I don't race (or go on the autobahn anymore), I was looking for some quieter, longer-lasting tires.
What do people like or not like for replacement tires?

SLK 350
I replaced the all 4 coners the second week when I got the car. I replaced they with Yokphama T1R with ZR grade. It has been ~10K on it and still look pretty good. I love it. The whole car feels different with the sticker tires.
Pirelle zero rosso is pretty pricey as far as I can remember, but a set of good tires is priceless.
If anyone who wants the stock Michelin tires, PM me and we can talk about the price.
