Sport Airbox SLK350
MB Dealer in the UK has just advised the Part No., for an alternative Sport airbox + filter approx cost £120 + fitting.
This is supposed to increase exhaust noise to more sports character (i find the exhaust note a bit quiet - would prefer more sound
As far as i am aware this is part of the German SLK350 sport package launched in Sept 2006

Standard Aircleaner P/N A 273 090 02 01
Has anybody got the Sport Air Cleaner, do you think it worth upgrading the airbox + filter to get a more sporty sound out of the 350 ?
Any Comments ?

I think its overpriced for just rop in filters, you can get something else like BMC airfilters, green or K&N for substantialy cheaper and would last longer.

The sports airbox looks smaller than the original, so they are charging more for less plastic, and the sports filters are most likely paper, so it's probably better to just get aftermarket filters that alroumi just listed.
