SLK/R171: Glue for repairing front cowling?

Glue for repairing front cowling?
I finally managed to crack the front cowling (under the front bumper) on my 350 SLK (not an AMG). (Grrrr! I hate parking lots.) When the two sides are together and aligned, it is almost invisible though. (It's just a split. There are no loose flapping pieces.)
Does anyone have any suggestions for gluing the sides together so they stay aligned? I was thinking of gluing from the back with something for the fiberglass, but I'm not sure what to use.
Suggestions?

I cracked 
the same spot several months ago. I tried Gorilla glue, tape, nothing worked. I even had a body shop professionally glue it. That lip is too thin. I ended up replacing the whole bumper at a cost of $1400.00. Now I park half a car length from any curb.

'07 Mars Red SLK 280, '82 Guards Red Porsche 928
Try " The Welder ". It is an adhesive found at WalMart in the paint department. Works great. Used it on the bumper cap of my '03 Envoy.
This is not an epoxy or two part system.
