Good mechanic for "Service B" in DC/NoVA-area?

Um, congratulations, I guess, that's very nice of them to give you such great service for "free."

Asking again, does anyone know a trustworthy, non-dealer mechanic who can deal with "Service B" in the DC/Arlington/Alexandria area?

(OK, a quick edit. I'm aware you can reset the FSS, now, and I'm just trying to find a good mechanic who is trustworthy. I have a trustworthy mechanic who I barely trusted to work on my old Dodge, and whom I think would be in way over his head with a Mercedes. I also know of one really good mechanic who I wouldn't trust to tell me the correct time, let alone not to brutally rape me on unecessary or inflated service. I guess I'd really like to find a place with both skill and honesty.)

Service A Service E?

I had my SLK350 "A" service done 09/06 and was charged $215:

Labor $140
Oil/Parts $60
Waste Crg $12
Tax $3

At every service, they dealer washes and cleans the car including tires for free. Also they give me a Mercedes loaner car (free but you must replace the gas used) for the day.

Next week I am going in for my next service. The dash shows this as an "E" service. Is that like the B service?

E-service is equivilent to an A-service. The only difference with the newer models and the added services (C-H I believe) is that each one will include different items to be completed at that service. For instance a C service will include for instance items 3, 7, 9, and 13. I can tell you for a fact that 13 will be equal to an A-service, then the item 3 might be, replace coolant, 7 will be replace brake fluid, etc. And each service will include different items. Hope this clears things up a bit. Also, I dont really understand why people get upset about the price of their services. I pay $70 to change my oil. I have to change it every 3000 miles, which is close to $300 a year. Mercedes services are due every 13,000, which is about the same per year as any other car. The only difference is you all are paying it in one lump sum, and paying for labor as well.

American Service Center and Mercedes of Alexandria are owned by the same people, I believe. So the price difference is really strange.

Amen you are so right...

Paying $500 a year for service its still works out. bc it better than serving my car 4 to 5 times a year

I'm not sure where I'll be on Saturday, but I'm sure I can stop by if I'm around Tysons. I don't know if I have your number though, so you can PM it to me.
