SLK/R171: iPod integration help

iPod integration help
My SLK350 doesn't have the nav head so MB says I can't install an iPod integration kit. Anyone have a suggestion on integrating my iPod? I am sick of using a FM transmitter in the cig lighter.

I assume you have the Audio 20 radio. There are some options available, but I'm not that knowledgeable regarding them. Based on cost and ease of use, a good RF modulator isn't all bad. How much are you using the iPod? Previously, I had a couple of XM Roady radios in other cars using the internal RF modulator. I was impressed with sound quality and effortless installation. Hopefully, someone else will give you more options. Good luck.

Steve from MBENZNL can retrofit the Audio20 to accept an auxiliary input and also maybe retrofit the Merc Ipod Integration kit to it as well. Also look into Dension ICE, think some people have integrated an ipod with that. OR, you can just replace the stock Audio20 radio with another headunit with more functionality like ipod integration built in, which is what I did
