Weather Seals
Just noticed two clean horizontal cuts in either side of the rubber seal that goes in between the rear window and the glass outer pillars.
Can't decide whether this is a defect or the way the seal is made?
Would someone be kind enough to check their seals to let me know if there is any similarity.
This may account for two puddles of water that collect in the corners of the guttering around the trunk (visible when the trunk lid is open) after washing the car?
Me thinks this is going to be my first MB warranty claim - 2K miles from new!

Weather Seals
My dealer has confirmed these are as they should be but here are a couple of pics for future reference....
Might still be worth keeping an eye on the puddle that gathers in the trunk gutter (see pic 2)
Regards,
Kenzed

Ah.. well ...an overwealming response to this one then!
Anywayz..I now realise this is normal and just in case anyone 'searches' this subject, for the record...watch what happens as the mechanism operates...the reason for the split in the seal then becomes apparent..
Oh well, I thought it was interesting
