I did my homework. I looked at the Vette, Lexus, Mustang, Bmw. I did about 8 months of homework. I found an SLK 55 AMG 2007 model with 4,000 miles on it and bought it for a fair price. Bought as a weekend cruiser. I haven't driven anything else yet. I love it! Great looks and acceleration. Comfortable enough ( I'm a big guy). I so enjoy it. I love Mercedes. I have had no problems thus far (6600 miles total now, s0 about 2000 miles in a month.

Looks like you made the right choice. I agree... when you take all the features of the SLK55 into account, there's not much to compare it against.

It's still a great multi-functional car and I might add the 2007 model is especially good. Congrats.

There really isn't much you can compare to the SLK...specially if you are looking for a auto hardtop convertible that's rear wheel drive...

basically Lexus, Cadillac and Mercedes is the only ones...mazda now has the Miata in hardtop, but it's got a lawnmower for an engine.
