My 2007 let me know that my 'front right marker lamp' had a problem. It's not working. The owners manual however (pg397) said to have it replaced by the dealer . My old 2003 SLK manual tells you how to remove the lens and replace the bulb.

Has anyone replaced this bulb on a 350?

I assume you're talking about the the side marker lights on the left and right fenders. You will need to jack the car, remove the front section of the wheel liner, to gain access to the bulb. Here's a link from another forum with pictures. Many replace their amber marker covers with clear for a better look. or you can jack up the car. There are totally 6 screws under the front bumper. After you taken out the plate under the front bumper, you also gain the full access for the side marker.

I took the easy way out and the dealer replaced it under warranty. I do like the look of the clear lenses though.

I thought I saw a thread a while ago that talked about three chrome strips that can be attached to each of the two top black 'grilles' on the hood near the front windshield.

Anyone seen that thread?

They're referred to as "Aero Wings". They're standard on the SLK 55 and are easily attached to the SLK 280/350. Do a search and you'll find many post. You might check SLKWorld.com for a more active SLK forum.
