Saw the NEW SLK in Manhattan
I was driving on 1st ave downtown near st mark's in manhattan last week and i came across the facelifted SLK with its top down. The weather was beautiful and it was about 60 degrees that day. It had new jersey dealer plates. Car was covered in black vinyl (or whatever it is) and all badges and emblems were covered. This was the first time I ever saw a car like that before it was ever sold. sorry, no pictures though.

Interesting, I though the facelift isn't until 2009.

MBUSA vehicle. MBUSA is very close to new york city so it make sense
