SLK/R171: completed broken in???

SLK 350
completed broken in???
My SLK 350 is just crossing 20K miles and had the service B done. Recently, I noticed my exhaust notes sounds different. Interesting thing is that CTROY felt the same way. One day, he told me that there is something happened to the car. The car became different animal over night. The exhaust notes become much louder and the engine respond also becomes better. Overall, the car becomes faster in simple way. How do I know that? I usually ride with bunch M3s, and we like to have little fun on the highway when it opens up. Recently, I walk them much easier than in the past. Because of we ride out a lot, they can point out the different of the sound. They all asked me what I did to the car. I said “nothing, I just drive it like I own it”.
My question is, has anyone out there with SLK 350 has the same experience/feel as we do?

2006 SLK 350
My SLK just passed the 22K mark and I definitely feel like it is driving differently (and better). I agree, it was almost as though something happened from one day to the next. The car seems much more responsive to my driving style and has a deeper exhaust note.

so....this just means I am not crazy...or have an over active imagination. Ok so maybe I am a little crazy 
but my SLK350 just opened up, it feels like it is breathing easier. Hope it stays this way, I love this car!
