Crossfire - SLK underneath???
Hi - I am a happy MB owner, a 1992 500E.
However... I've been offered a Chrysler Crossfire at a low price, $14K.
I don't know much about it - except I'm told it is well cared for and low km.
I understand that these are made in Germany and are based on the SLK. Is it the R170 or R171 ?
Also, please tell me what you know of them. The 3.2 litre 330 hp six appeals to me. I believe that some came with a 215 hp 3.2 litre too, though. Is this the SLK 3.2 in Turbo and non-turbo forms?
Please tell me. I think this car is a bit of an orphan - not MB, but not really a Chrysler, either.
Appreciate any info. Thanks.

Crossfire is indeed a re-skinned R170 SLK. Other than the exterior sheet metal and interior bits, they are very similar. The 3.2 V6 is the same as found on the SLK320 and the SRT6 version has the same engine as the C32 AMG (3.2L supercharged).
