Short list
I have shortened my shopping list [for a toy] to only include the R171 SLK and the MX 5 PRHT. I know. I know! They are at widely different price points. However, both do meet our criteria. Since both are scheduled for obsolescence in a year or so it makes sense to look for clean one to two year old low-mileage cars which is what I will do.
I won't start scouring the want ads 'till about mid June but will then be prepared to move quickly when the right car is presented. I will consider both the 3.0 L and the 3.5 L engines with automatic and light colors. Dealer as well as private sellers will be considered.
