buying SLK350
Hi Folks,
I am thinking about upgrade my wife S500 2000 to a SLK350. Any thing to watch out for? Reliabliltiy? What is the common problem? tips? What is the good year?

I am not being mean to the SLK, I have one, and I love it. The size does not bother me, but it could not be more different than a S Class, which is all about comfort.
The cars have shown to be decent in reliability, but your mileage will vary. My biggest issues have been seat issues. I've had them worked on many times to get rid of noises/movement, etc.
You might want 2008 or later because they started to get some of the V6 engine issues sorted by then, 2009 and later are the face lift years, and those have the revised V6 with 300HP, only found in the SLK.

2006 slk 350
I have an 2006 slk 350. The only issue is with the driver's heated seat. My car only has 29K so I wouldn't expect to see too many issues. As for space inside the vehicle,I am 6'2" and 240#'s and fit in quite nicely.
