2005 SLK 350
SRS LIGHT
My srs light is coming on and off over the last couple of days. To test the seat belts, I suddenly breaked and both belts worked fine. If there is a problem with the seat belt receptacle the part cost is $500, need some advise on next steps.

2005 SLK 350
Took your advice and ran the codes, the drivers side seat belt receptor is the culprit. Quoted $467 to replace. Fair deal?

Common failure on R171...
Mine failed on the 2006 SLK 2 years ago...I was under extended warranty plan, so they took care of it with a $100 deductible..
