SLK/R171: enable aux in on facelift audio 20

enable aux in on facelift audio 20
Hi,
I've just upgraded my 2004 audio 20 to the new audio 20 from a 2009 SLK.
I didn't but an adapter kit as I knew the pinout of both stereos, so just swapped the wiring round. (I'll attach a guide on how to do this).
But I cant seem to activate the Aux in port.

The OP says he got it all working on the same radio i have -
CODE 523 - A 171 870 42 94 (MB Audio 20)
but there is no indication on how the Aux port was enabled.
