2007 slk
Looking to buy a 2007 slk with 49000 miles,will be taking it to my indie to inspect it. My concern is owner only has one key shouldn’t there be 2 keys, also he doesn’t have the owners manuals. This throws up a red flag to me what does everyone think.

Your indie should be able to tell. Heck, we just bought a 2007 SLK 350 with 85k miles with no PPI and one key. I know, you take your chances. Keys are easy enough to duplicate these days. Get a carfax and a PPI. That should suffice for peace of mind. My 2 cents.

What model slk? The owners manuals are available online, the keys are expensive [i've heard @ $200-300. How about maintenance records. Mercedes service is expensive so knowing when last services were done can save you a bundle. I just had service b and trans service done plus differential oil change, the cost was over $1400. Edit to say i have an slk55.
