SLK/R171: got our production date today

got our production date today
I ordered my wife an SLK 350 two months ago, (had left a deposit over a year ago so she could have an early one), we ordered every option except for command and the tire pressure system, it will be fire-something red with sand (tan) (don't remeber the names) we were told today to expect a late Sept production and delivery in November. Even though we left a deposit over a year ago, becuase we did not order the launch version, we have to wait until Sept for production, does not seem right to me.
No idea on the price, we were told the cost will be final the first week of Sept.

BTW, I checked with a couple of CA dealers who told me, if I ordered from them I would get the car early next year

Sounds like a great trip! I am hoping to get mine with an alpine road trip in European delivery 
Later back in the states, I can't wait for weekend trips down highway 1 by Big Sur, up toward Mendocino and all the other great drives we have.
