fs: wood/leather steering wheels

I have several new wood/leather steering wheels available for the R171 SLK...some with and some without the shift switches at the back and these can be bought with or without airbag (whatever you prefer)...

The steering wheels are charcoal leather/brown wood:
picture of the steering wheel, close up and with or without shift switches.

mail me at Steve@MBenzNL.com when interested

Will the shift switches work if you dont have them already?
Meaning are the R-171 cars pre-wired for the wheel shifters?

Installing Steering Wheel?

Installing the steering wheel with an airbag will be a straight-up pain in the ***. I had a friend that was killed by an airbag when he was working on a car. I'd highly suggest that you not try this on your own unless you are very, very familiar with the car's electrical system.

Speaking of, in the US it is illegal to remove a factory airbag for any reason. That said, I have the stock wood/leather steering wheel for the manual transmission, and it is beautiful...

Take it easy...

Don't worry about him. He's THE MB EXPERT here and he has done it before. But kids, please don't try this at home !!

MBenzNL: Did you have the chance to play with NetStar on US cars? Any success enabling DVD while driving? Just curious.....
