I've owned for 13 years and never really had a problem with the roof not working as expected (except a broken wire that was easily fixed after help from this forum). Today I tried to close the roof, and the trunk went up as expected, and I heard the normal noises but nothing else happened. I tried letting my wife operate the button while I tried shaking the roof to see if it was possibly stuck, but nothing I tried managed to work. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the roof up or anything I can try?
TIA
Okay, I went back out an hour later to try more things to get it to work, and it worked exactly as expected. I have no idea why it failed initially even after several attempts. But now, it works again. I'm a little nervous to try it up and down again until I have more time to fool with it in case it fails again. Anyone have something like this to happen to them?
Mine does the same for the last 3-4 years...somethims is closing...or not opening.
1. Take the battery out for 30 min for a full reset, usually is working for me.
2. We have that plastic thing that is going up or down which can be stuck, usually mine can be moved without any effort...but somethimes it get stuck from whatever reason, I'll put more WD-40
