I have an issue on the driver's door in my 2007 Mercedes SLK280. I took off the door trim for the driver's door, the door lock used to work properly, now the door doesn’t lock when locking with the remote. I can lock the door manually and the door will unlock with the remote and also with the lock button on the dash Anybody got ideas on how to fix this?

 

Did you forget to install the black plastic trim on the door that goes around the door latch? If it doesn't close the door open sensor, it won't lock.
I had same issue and took me forever to figure out what was happening.. Also the window will not roll up all the way if it sees the door as "open" still.
