Getting Fog Lights for Extra $$$??
I've ordered my SLK350 back in early September. Several days after I placed my order, I got a call from my salesperson letting me know that he has officially entered my request in the system. He told me that he found out that the fog lights does not come with the lighting package (which I intially thought it does as it stated in the mbusa.com website). I asked him how much the fog lights will be and he told me he has no idea. Since I think without the fog lights the SLK350 will look less attractive, I've decided to add that option.
I've been looking at the past threads and saw no one posting this question about the fog lights, so I want to know if this is true or not? I've recently received the brochure and it doesn't say the fog lights came in separate from the lighting package.
I'm confused!

I can tell you that the fog lights are standard on all U.S. Spec SLK's. Period.
You may be thinking about the "cornering" fog light function. The cornering light function is only available on non-AMG SLK350 cars and it only comes with the Bi-Xenon light option. It's included in the Bi-Xenon lighting package.
The cornering lights are not available on the SLK55 and they are not available on the SLK350 with the AMG option.

Cornering Fog Light...does it pivot as you make a turn? After reading the brochure carefully, I think all it does is turned on once you use a signal as you make the turn but does not itself pivot.

The fog light does not pivot. It simply turns on. The fog lights are designed to shoot the beam at an angle away from the car, so it enables you to see off to one side at about a 45 degree angle, with the maximum light in the first 30 degrees or so.
It's a nice feature, but the Xenon lights are so bright that the side fog lights really don't do a whole lot. Still, they're better than not having the fog lights at all.
