SLK/R171: seat backrest maximum limit

seat backrest maximum limit
dont you think guys that there arent alot of backrest room? it cant go far behind... this is the only complain or is the 350 i drove had a defect?

You can cut a whole in the back of your trung and take the limit off the chair and then you can rest.
In the first SLK modeles (230, 320, 32 AMG) the seat could touch the back wall (not a wall, but u know what I mean). I realized that the 2005 SLK models will not touch the back, there is about an inch or a little less gap between chair and back wall. Not a big deal. I think they did this because the chairs were getting damaged and there would be a little push dent on the back wall. plus there is more leg room and head room, so you really shouldn;t be complaining about a less than 1 inch gap.
It is like that in all the 2005 SLK models.

I'm 6'3" and I only just fit into my brothers new slk and thats not even in total comfort. I expected the car to be bigger, but i guess its not made for people my size, e.g. men..........lol. just kidding.

iam nearly as your height! i felt comfortable in the 350, but only the backrest adjustment to moving backwards isn't enough for my likings! although in my Mroadster it was okay, could move it pretty far backwards.
