lexus GS300. SLK350 on order
Tellurite silver
I have only seen one in the flesh at the dealers. It looked like it had a distinct blue tinge.
I am looking at getting that colour with either ash grey or red interior.
Anyone with that combo ?
If you are in Sydney that would be even more interesting!
PS Sorry if the spelling is wrong. No brochures available yet. Even to someone who has put a 2K deposit down. 6 mth delivery at this stage downunder.

If you want to PM me with an email address and you have the capability of receiving a 6+MB file, I can send you a PDF of the US version brochure

i have a tellurium (diamond) silver car myself. my i suggest a blue interior? matches up with the blue tint of tellurium like a charm. much darker than the pics suggest.
otherwise, i might suggest ash. i saw a tellurium/red the other day, didn't match up very well. haven't seen ash though.

I only put a $2K deposit down on a 350 at a dealer in Melbourne too. That was 5 months ago. Waiting for delivery next month. Didn't try to negotiate the price lower, since they only had one left for the year. What about you?

Yes, I managed to get around 2k off (really not much considering the car is like over 130k anyway), I
was unfortunate enough to get the best salesman in the dealship I went to, otherwise, I might have
been able to get a bit more off.
Which dealship did you order your car from?

They only had one that their dealership had reserved to sell for the rest of 2004. They gave me a brochure though. Wow, you got a discount? I didn't get any. It's from Central Star. Where's yours?

slk 350 before the end of 2004? I'm sorry, but what the dealership said
sounds like such a lie to me. I mean, the car costs more than 120k and I cannot believe any
dealership would refuse to sell it to any customer. But I agree that it's almost impossible to get
any discount from the dealerships on the new SLK, what I got was really symbolic.
Anyway, what color combinations did you get? What accessories did you get?

What they told me that it's all rationed. Say Australia gets 300 SLK350s per year, the dealer will only get allocated 5 per year, so that all the dealers have some to go around. So they sold 4, and mine is the last one. They get one SLK55AMG per year starting next year. Try getting a discount on a 55AMG! lol

tellurite with blue leather interior
Saw an SL in Tellurite Silver and Anticide interior (black) at Sanderson's Mercedes in Nov04. Reminds me of the silver blue I saw on a Ferrari I pulled up to at Five Dock last year. Am I going crazy remembering it as the same colour?
Very nice colour. I like it! Could be viewed as a bit girly though.
knihc2008's suggestion about the blue is good. The "expanded" SLK brochure (which is as rare as hen's teeth in Sydney) recommends the anticide or blue as good colour matches. The red was marked as a "possibility" but not recommended.
I chose tellurite and blue interior. Was a bit worried about the combination I chose but here's hoping that it turns out great! I should have done more research as I can see from a lot of pics that the other colours look good too. the dark blue looks very nice!
I ordered mine in Nov04 and have been told it will be available around 20Jan05. Lucky for the quick turn around. I'm not a patient person
got pics?
will do soon as I get it in Jan
Didu, know you're not asking me but i'll answer anyway I put down a 2K deposit for a SLK200K and got it 1,300 cheaper than anywhere else.

GAM817, a pic of my tellurium/blue. it looks bloody BRILLIANT. no need to be worried, truly. usually the blue interior photographs much, much lighter than it really is; on mbslk.de, for example, all the blue pics come up much lighter than in real life. this is the closest to real life picture i've taken of the car, and, as you can see, its much darker and very nice.

nice pics =)
very nice pics knihc2008
i like the mags you chose. i wish i had a bit more $$ to throw at it. could only afford the stocky (SLK200K) I'll have to wear the tires out and get 17s later the dealer said that upgrading to 17s shouldn't void warranty or insurance. i should check that
friend of mine who's holidaying in South Australia took a pic of a black 350K with the exact same mags. looks mad! i want to post it here but am unsure about posting pics of someone else's car! especially since their numberplate is very visible. incidentally, the 350z convertible and previous model SLK are peeking out from behind the first shot he took
