I agree with the author of the article and as such, I just placed an order for a 2005 Boxster S today. The one thing that the article failed to mention is that the car that they tested did not have the 19 inch rims or the PASM both of which positively effect the handling of the car! I would like to see that comparison!! You can also customize the Boxster from the factory in ways that Mercedes never dreamed of so that you can create almost a one of a kind car.

Did you see my review the otherday...... I posted it the day before the Autocar Review came out:

https://mbworld.org/forums/slk55-r171/97554-slk55-4-day-test-drive-my-review.html

I also cancelled the AMG in favour of the 987S. I've gone for PASM and standard 18" wheels...... the 19" rims are only for show they will actually impare the ride and handling (slightly)...... various UK magazines have already concluded that the car is best on the 18" wheels for which the car was designed. The 19"s have a tendancy to allow less predictable onset of power oversteer. Unless you REALLY like the look of the 19"ers save your money and take the standard wheels.

The Boxster in the Auotcar test does have PASM..... they don't mention it directly but the interior picture on the last page shows the PASM button which isn't there on a non PASM equiped car..... its the button on the lowest row in front of the gear stick second from left.
