Is there any noticeable difference between the two? Also, does the Sport Suspension significantly lower the SLK350 at all? Thanks! The reason I ask is because I was told by the dealer that it does improve cornering, but does not affect the look of the car meaning the 'slammed' look.

I'd really like to know more about this suspension. Ironically, the fact that it is only $200 make sme skeptical of just how good it is, but maybe MB decided to offer value on one of their options.

Something tells me it is still going to be soft and cushy, in which case, the better move may be to not get it and put in a better aftermarket suspension to improve handling.

By no means am I as suspension expert but here is my opinion having test driven the standard suspension and purchasing an SLK with the sport suspension.

I did notice a difference in the feel. The Sports S definatley does corner stronger, almost NO body lean at all. The Sports S is stiffer but I think the ride is still smooth as would be expected with any MB. I think the difference in price is because they don't have to take off the standard suspension and put new on at the factory they just build it with the better suspension.

Thanks for the information, all! How about the overall appearance of the car? On the website it says that the Sport Suspension drops it 10mm, but with only that much of a difference from Stock Suspension is there any difference in appearance? Thanks.

I do not notice a huge change in the overall look of the car. I had a Jetta GLI with a VR6 and the V6 in the SLK350 Blows it out of the water in EVERY respect. It feels more like a small V8 than a V6. The car is very fast and extremely quick. Mine has the 7G and I am amazed at the tranny everytime I drive it. Smooth as silk! As other said it does shift mid corner ON OCCASION, but if you need it not to just put more accellerator into and get into the shift pattern which changes gears at a higher RPM. When needed I have found this technique to work great.

This is my fist Mercedes and am LOVING IT!!

Also about the 10MM thats only about .39 of an inch. or 4/10ths so a little less than a half an inch not a huge difference but i bet if you put the two types of suspension you would be able to see the difference then.
