Command and MP3 ??

hey guys! long time no post! but i just put down a deposit for a new SLK 350. the car comes with COMMAND nav. system and i was wondering if i could play MP3's through that. i read on earlier posts that you could, but i'm not sure how?

Do i burn a data CD with mp3's on it, or do i have to connect my iPod to it?

Also, does the COMMAND system need a regional disc in it's cd-drive in order to have the navigation system up and running? is this the same drive that the mp3 cd has to go into?

i can't wait to pick up my new car tomorrow!!! i'll post pics if i can! :v

Your question has been answered quite a few times on this forum, here is
the answer again.

When you get your car, you will see there are three options under the
Audio section, two of them are:

AUX -- the aux input in the glove box, this is where you plug in your ipod
(or whatever music player) to the command system.

MP3 -- this is where you need to burn a MP3 CD/DVD and put it in the
6 CD stack (cds only) or the DVD ROM drive above the main LCD
screen. The DVD drive accpets DVD+/-R DVD+/-RW formats.

Yes, when you use your DVD/CD burning software to create the MP3
DVD/CD, you should choose the data DVD/CD option. The manual provides
pretty specific instructions to the format and restrictions of the file names
and number and directory structures of the MP3 DVD/CD.
